David Fasano Jr
Senior Loan Officer

Being a mortgage broker is in my blood. Mortgage and real estate have been the family business as long as I can remember. I have been around this profession long before I was ever a mortgage broker. I used to help out around my father’s office doing small administrative tasks like organizing files or answering phones. But this gave me a window into what mortgage brokers do and how they change the lives of their clients. From a young age I knew that I wanted to spend the rest of my life helping people and I knew that being a mortgage and real estate professional was a way to do that. Shortly after high school I got my real estate license and jumped headfirst into the family business. While working as a real estate agent, I started working as a junior processor for the mortgage side of the business. I learned about every aspect of the mortgage process as I moved from junior processor to loan officer, to senior loan officer, and eventually the branch manager for the Hyannis branch. I’ve spent years learning the ins-and-outs of every aspect of this profession, so that I can walk every single one of my clients through the home buying process.

I love what I do because every single day I get to help people envision and write the next chapter of their lives. It is always incredible to help someone purchase a new home, but it is especially rewarding to help first-time homebuyers because they are new to the process and the excitement they get when they finally hold the keys to their own home in their hands is unmatched. Same is true for clients who have been turned away by other banks or lenders. Nobody likes rejection. Nobody likes being told that their dream is out of reach. I love working with clients who have experienced this kind of rejection and dejection because I know that I can help make their dreams a reality. I have a lot of tools at my disposal to help my clients turn a no into a yes. Small adjustments to credit scores or finding creative ways to come up with a down payment can make a world of difference to a person’s life. It is all about taking the time to learn about their financial situation and then finding simple and constructive ways to get them to where they need to be to buy a home. For a lot of lenders, applicants are just that, applicants. They are merely a set of numbers, application numbers, credit scores, and bank accounts. For us, every person we work with is a unique person with their own dreams and their own backstory. Everyone should get to experience the joy of owning a home. All it takes is having an advocate who understands the homebuying process, who can fight on your behalf and guide you along the way to make it happen.

The biggest piece of advice that I have for all of my clients is to trust in the process and believe that the universe is looking out for you. The universe has a plan for each of us that is sometimes outside of our control. Sometimes clients miss out on a house that they believed was the perfect house for them and then a short period later they find a better house that they instantly fall in love with and move into to begin the next chapter of their life. I know it feels like the sky is falling if something goes wrong in the home buying process, but 10 times out of 10, every client that has missed out on the property that they believed was the perfect house for them, they always end up finding one that is better.

When I am not helping my clients get the home of their dreams, you can find me with my girlfriend and our dog, Kada. We have had Kada since she was 8 weeks old. My girlfriend’s mother came up with her name, which is the first two letters of each of our names (Kaetlyn and David). Kada was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 2 and underwent doggy cancer treatment. The vet told me it could prolong her life anywhere from 6 months to 15 years. Fast forward to today, she is turning 8 in January and will be almost 6 years cancer free.
